Users

To use the system you need to have a User account. This allows people to sign in to the platform with an email and password.

Definitions

User Someone that needs to access WorkEngine
CarShop User                 Operatives using the system that requires further information capturing regarding shift patterns, disciplines and roles.
Profile Every area of the business will have a profile, this allows access to the areas and sites they need. You can have more than one profile associated with the user but one has to be the default.


How to Add a User

On the side bar, you will see a cloud button, select this to open 'Systems"

  • Go to Admin and select Users from the dropdown list.

  • Select the + button in the bottom right

  • Fill in the details ensuring you give them the correct profile for their job.
  • Select Save

Please note this is the email and password they will need to access the system.

CarShop Users

CarShop users are the operatives using the system that need further information capturing regarding shift patterns, disciplines and roles.

To add a CarShop user

  • Select the CarShop User view
  • Select the + button in the bottom right of the screen
  • Enter the name of the user from the dropdown list in the 'Link to User' box, this is taken from the Users list therefore if you can't find it they have not been set up as a user.
  • Fill in all the appropriate details.
  • Once complete they should now be set up on the system and can start work

A user can have multiple disciplines so that they can be viewed on the scheduler for planning purposes in more than one area. You need to add these in when creating the user. Please ensure that one of them is their core discipline.

Checked in  If they have an active timesheet
Agency What agency they are with if they are agency staff
Core Discipline What is their main area of work
Core Role What is their main role 
Employment Status Are they Employed or Agency
Site Where they are based.
